AngelSpan Adds Transparency and Communication to Impact Investments
San Francisco, Calif (PRWEB) September 13, 2016 -- AngelSpan, an investor relations service that helps CEOs establish trust with their investors, announced support for the emerging GIIN standards today at the Social Capital Markets Conference (SOCAP) in San Francisco, CA. This new feature will allow the investors and stakeholders of impact companies to receive regular progress updates measured against the GIIN standards.
The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) recently released a report on “The Business Value of Impact Measurement” where research showed that 95% of impact investors said that understanding the performance of their investments was a part of their mission. Starting today, impact investments that use AngelSpan to regularly communicate with their investors and stakeholders will be measured using the GIIN standards.
“At the beginning of 2016 we licensed the Bell Mason Diagnostic to apply business performance metrics to our non-impact clients,” said Joe Milam, CEO. “Today we’re excited to announce support for the GIIN standards for our clients that are impact companies.”
Jean Case, nationally recognized philanthropist and CEO of the Case Foundation, recently defined impact investments as having three characteristics:
- Clear intention
- A commitment to measurement of their impact
- Transparency and communication with their investors and stakeholders
“Angelspan has been a key partner in helping us communicate the progress of our ‘Buy One & We Give One’ mission to all of our investors and stakeholders,” said David Simnick, CEO of Soapbox Soaps. "This is something I think all investors should require from every company in which they invest.”
