Annette Nelson Tapped to Lead Non-Profit Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) as New Chief Executive Officer
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 20, 2015 -- Following a national search, the Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®) Board of Directors has unanimously selected Annette Nelson as CEO of the international non-profit organization, effective Monday, May 18, 2015.
Nelson will report directly to RIE’s Board Chair Dave Ryan as she works toward building on the organization’s track record of success through further developing its business vision, enhancing the impact of its global programs, and expanding community engagement, in full alignment with its mission. She is expected to achieve goals for continued financial growth by taking the organization to its next level in many additional areas of focus, including oversight of marketing, community relations, fund development, program growth and long-range planning. Annette will also serve as the chief spokesperson, representing RIE to internal and external constituencies and stakeholders.
“Annette brings a strong balance of knowledge, skills, thoughtfulness and enthusiasm to continue expanding RIE’s outreach to parents, professionals and our members, while enriching relationships with our Associates,” said Ryan. “She has clearly demonstrated a passion for non-profits and empowering others to play to their own strengths in her previous leadership roles in the growth of several professional organizations. As a marketing executive and consultant, Annette is also familiar with the needs of a small entrepreneurial company such as RIE, as well as the possibilities of a larger organization.”
With a proven track record for driving strategic growth, operational change and organizational excellence in leading non-profit and for-profit organizations, Nelson has held senior positions with the National Conference of State Legislatures, American Bar Association and California Society of CPAs. Her key areas of expertise include enhancing revenues, improving customer service, managing organizational change, increasing operational efficiencies and facilitating strategic planning initiatives. A California resident, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in Advertising from Michigan State University.
