Annie Duke has leveraged her expertise in the science of smart decision-making to excel at pursuits as diverse as championship poker, public speaking, teaching, and philanthropy. For two decades, Annie was one of the top poker players in the world, winning several championships throughout her career. She is now a master storyteller and renowned speaker at corporate events on topics ranging from negotiation through decision making, with a focus on applying lessons learned at the poker table to the office and to life.
Through her academic training in cognitive psychology and her real-world experience at the poker table, Annie Duke has mastered the art and science of strategic decision-making. Duke was awarded a National Science Foundation Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania after graduating with a double major in English and Psychology in the first co-ed class at Columbia University. She currently sits on the board of After School All Stars, an organization dedicated to providing productive and educational opportunities and activities to underprivileged and at-risk youth.
