Announcement: BluesGuitar.com Releases “Blues Lead Playing With Pentatonic Scales - Blues Guitar Lesson - Part 2”
(PRWEB) April 26, 2014 -- “We’re studying the pentatonic scale, we are working this out in all of the patterns across the neck”, says MacLennan, “it’s really a must know thing”. Jon demonstrates the scale pattern that he is using as follows; start out on the 8th fret of the 6th string with your 2nd finger and then the 10th fret with your third finger. Next is the 5th string at the 7th fret with first finger to the 10th fret with 4th finger and then repeat that sequence for the 4th string. Next is the 3rd string at the 7th fret with first finger and 9th fret with 3rd finger. For the 2nd string Jon shifts up one half step to the 8th fret with his first finger to the 10th fret with his 3rd finger and repeats that sequence for the first string. Jon says that this should be practiced both ascending and descending and that you want to work on getting a good clean sound for each note. Jon says that the C Major Bar Chord fretted at the 8th fret works great with this scale because it shares the same notes. Guitar TAB’s are available for this easy beginner blues guitar lesson at BluesGuitar.com.
