Announcement: GuitarControl.com Releases “Lead Guitar Lesson on Grace Note - Learn How to Play Grace Notes”
(PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- Claude demonstrates how to play a Grace Note using the E minor Pentatonic scale with an easy lick of; 10th fret of the 2nd string with first finger to the 12th fret with 3rd finger to the 10th fret of the first string with first finger to the 12th fret with 3rd finger. Johnson explains that the grace note is played quickly and briefly by picking one note and then doing a hammer-on to the second note, the grace note. This can add some really nice flavor to any lick and spice up a guitar solo. Claude demonstrates this by picking the 10th fret of the first string and then doing a quick hammer-on to the 12th fret for the grace note. “The point of the grace note is that it’s not a like a sixteenth note of a certain measure of the time, it’s just as quickly as you can play it,” says Johnson. Guitar TAB’s are available for this easy beginner guitar lesson at GuitarControl.com.
A grace note is a kind of music notation used to denote several kinds of musical ornaments, usually printed smaller to indicate that it is melodically and harmonically nonessential. When occurring by itself, a single grace note normally indicates the intention of either an appoggiatura or an acciaccatura.
