Announcement: Launch of New Smart TV Portal Developed by FPT
Hanoi, Vietnam (PRWEB) June 29, 2014 -- FPT Corporation (VNINDEX: FPT) (http://fpt-software.com) has successfully developed and deployed the new Developer Portal & Application Repository for Smart TV Alliance. The new portal is hosted under the URL (https://developers.smarttv-alliance.org) as of Monday, June 2nd.
The Common Developers' Portal is essential for the future growth of Smart TV Alliance as it complements the entire app publication process by introducing a common agreement covering commercial terms for any app provider to publish their app on Smart TV Alliance conformant devices; as a result, the supply and demand for Smart TV apps is expected to rise substantially in the coming years.

FPT officially became a member of the STA in February 2013. The company was chosen by the STA among global software leaders to develop and deploy STA’s systems onto Cloud, which create a platform for worldwide developers to build applications for Smart TV. FPT also hosted the quarterly meeting of Smart TV Alliance (STA) at FPT Campus, Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi in February 2014. Within the framework of this meeting, FPT presented an initiative to hold Smart TV App development contest in Vietnam to search for young talents and innovative applications "made by Vietnam" for Smart TV. The initiative is also expected to open opportunities for the large pool of Vietnamese engineers and programmers to approach the new technology of Smart TV application development.
Speaking about the partnership between FPT and the Smart TV Alliance, Mr. Yasuhiro Ishibashi, Senior Manager of Toshiba Advanced Product Department and Board member of the STA, commented, ”I am impressed with the young, passionate and professional human resource that FPT possesses. Smart TV Alliance: Smart TV Alliance is a committee established to provide members with a platform that enables the creation of interactive content on TV screen.
