Announcement: SongTabs.com Releases “How to Play Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye - Acoustic Guitar Lesson”
(PRWEB) April 25, 2014 -- “The first thing you need to do is put a capo on the 5th fret of your guitar,” says Zollars, “this song is actually very simple, it only has three chords you need to know for the entire thing.” The three chords Paige says are used are; Am, G and F and that the song has two parts the verse and the chorus. Paige demonstrates the verse as follows; the chords used are Am and G and it is strummed as down down up for Am and then down down up for G, counted as 1 - 2 - & - 3 - 4 - &, using the palm muting technique. Zollars continues by performing this section of the song. Next Paige demonstrates the chorus as follows; the chords are Am, G, F and G and it is strummed the same way that the verse is strummed, just without the palm muting technique. Zollars continues this lesson by performing the song so you can follow along with her. Chord charts and guitar TAB’s are available for this easy acoustic guitar lesson at SongTabs.com.
A Capo, short for capotasto, which is Italian for “head of fret board”, is a device used on the neck of a fretted instrument to shorten the playable length and raise the pitch.
