Announcing Structure Series Launch: New Event Business Created From Former Gigaom Conferences
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 07, 2015 -- The former Gigaom conference portfolio, including cloud-focused Structure, big data-focused Structure Data and IoT-focused Structure Connect, has been purchased by a new business run by former Gigaom team members. The new company is Structure LLC and the first event, Structure, will take place November 17-19th in San Francisco, produced by Gigaom’s former VP of Events and Executive Editor, among others. Speakers will include influential executives and other notable tech industry professionals, and the event will adhere to the same high standards as prior Gigaom events.
The respected industry-tech blog site Gigaom abruptly closed in March, ending the editorial coverage and tech conference series that represented an integral voice of the tech community. Over the past two months, a group of individuals have discussed opportunities to revive the highly successful thought-leadership conference series including Structure, Structure Data and Structure Connect.
The Structure series event portfolio, known for its unwavering editorial integrity, gives an unbiased picture of the cloud landscape and a forum for visionaries and startups alike to gather and learn. Former speakers included Werner Vogels of Amazon, Urs Holzle of Google, Satya Nadella of Microsoft and hundreds more.
Many of the original Gigaom event and editorial staff are bringing back the conference series, starting November 17-19, 2015 with Structure. This first Structure Event will echo the themes of the former traditionally June cloud computing event and will be produced by Gigaom’s former VP of Events, Gigaom’s longtime Executive Editor and past Gigaom team members, including individuals from the marketing and event logistics teams.
Structure LLC is a newly formed company that purchased the Structure event assets from Gigaom’s creditors with the goal of maintaining the Structure Series place at the forefront of live technology events.
The first event will take place November 17-19, 2015 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco and attendees can expect to see many familiar faces on stage and in the audience. More details on speakers and themes will be released in the coming weeks.
