Announcing the Movers and Shakers of TEDxKingStreetEast 2013: The Power of a Question
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) September 23, 2013 -- The official scheduled speakers to the first TEDxKingStreetEast event - The Power of a Question is officially announced. TEDxKingStreetEast 2013: The Power of a Question is taking place on October 9, 2013 at the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse in the historic area of Toronto, ON.
In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. This event is called TEDxKingStreetEast 2013: The Power of a Question, where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDxKingStreetEast 2013: The Power of a Question. TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including this one, are self-organized.
A question, of any shape or size, can have a significant impact on the world. Equally, it could have little impact globally but could be significant to an individual or any circle of friends or family. Either way, good questions move the world forward, in small steps or large.
Questions can also be scary because it implies an answer has not be derived yet - therefore the person asking the question is seen as imperfect or even vulnerable. Therein lies the beauty of a good question. Humans are imperfect creatures. If one does not believe that, then one is likely deluded. The enlightened ones know that hence they will ask the right questions at the right time. The movers and shakers of TEDxKingStreetEast 2013 will be sharing their ideas and experiences around the Power of a Question.
