Another Health System to partner with Accumen Inc. for Lab Excellence
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- Scottsdale Lincoln Health Network has entered into a partnership with Accumen Inc. (Accumen) to create a world class laboratory and explore opportunities to grow the laboratory business.
Scottsdale Lincoln Health Network was created through the system-wide merger of Scottsdale Healthcare and John C. Lincoln Health Network, and together now serve a population of 1.6 million people in the Phoenix area. Through the Accumen partnership, Scottsdale Lincoln Health Network seeks to uncover value in their laboratories to better serve their community.
“We selected Accumen to drive value across our lab operations and assist us in the development of our outreach business,” said David Lamparter, senior vice president and chief integration officer. “It was important that we select a partner who would share in the financial risk of delivering the outcomes.”
An integrated team of Accumen and health system lab personnel, guided by the implementation of Accumen’s Lab Transformation Model, will make improvements in laboratory services that benefit patients, employees and physicians. As the two former health systems integrate their lab services at five hospitals and multiple physician offices, Scottsdale Lincoln aims to utilize Accumen’s extensive lab, technology, and process knowledge to implement changes and improvements.
The Scottsdale Lincoln Health Network partnership marks Accumen’s newest health system client in the Southwest. Through partnering with Accumen, clients have been able to realize exceptional value through improved productivity, higher levels of quality and service, lower overall lab costs and blood utilization, and significant growth in their Outreach program.
“The reason health systems are selecting Accumen is our ability to bring clients a clear lab strategy, proven execution assets, strategic leadership, and a desire to partner in the journey to achieve lab excellence”, said Jeff Osborne, President and CEO of Accumen. “Scottsdale Lincoln Health Network’s commitment to patient quality and physician service from within the Lab creates an ideal transformation partnership. We’re excited to begin adding value to SLHN’s vision of retaining, optimizing, and growing the Lab to keep pace with an evolving and challenging healthcare environment.”
