AOLI Donates $20,000 in Office Furniture to Non-Profit, Mental Health in the African American Community
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 -- This month, leading office furniture sales and liquidation company, Atlanta Office Liquidators Inc (http://www.atlantaofficeliquidators.com), made a donation of office furniture valuing $20,000 to the non-profit, Mental Health in the African American Community (http://www.mhiaac.org). The donated office furniture will furnish the non-profit’s new national headquarters at 125 Eagle’s Landing Pkwy Ste 121-B Stockbridge, Ga 30281.
“The issue of mental health, especially in Atlanta and in higher risk minority groups, is an area of special interest and concern to our staff,” said AOLI co-founder and owner, Jack Deoliveira. “So, when we got the call from MHAAC, there was no question that we wanted to help in the area we know best, by helping to furnish the organization’s new headquarters,” added co-owner Ramon Khawly.
Mental Health in the African American Community, Inc (MHAAC) is a non-profit program that provides mental and behavioral health education, awareness, support and referral services for African American families and professionals. It is designed to educate primary healthcare providers, employers, consumers and the community at large on some of the early warning signs of mental illness and strategies that can be used to address related issues and concerns.
“Words cannot express our sincere gratitude for your $20,000 donation office furniture,” said MHAAC president and founder, Carolyn McKenzie. “Because of your kind gesture, our staff can feel like they have a home away from home when they are working diligently saving lives, enhancing the quality of life, while removing the stigma of mental illness and breaking the chains of silence."
