Apex Learning Releases Keystone Tutorials
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) October 03, 2017 -- Apex Learning, known for rigorous, standards-based curriculum proven to increase student outcomes, announces Keystone Tutorials. Designed specifically to prepare students for the Keystone exams, these Tutorials are helping Pennsylvania educators raise exam scores and increase college and career readiness through focused instruction, practice and review.
Keystone Tutorials make it easy for teachers to address individual student learning needs by identifying areas of mastery and areas for improvement. Adaptive remediation identifies learning gaps that make it difficult for students to be successful in on grade level content. Each student engages in instruction focused on what he or she needs to know to pass their courses and improve performance on the Keystone exams.
In a national study, Apex Learning Tutorials were proven to increase student performance by 19 percentile points. Struggling learners benefit from the focused approach to instruction and practice and scaffolds that support student understanding of concepts. The complete suite of Keystone Tutorials—Algebra I, Literature, and Biology—are now available to schools throughout Pennsylvania. These come in addition to Pennsylvania Tutorials for grades 6–12, which offer Tutorials aligned to the Pennsylvania content standards.
“The most effective way to increase state exam outcomes is to close the achievement gap for struggling students and to challenge students who are at or above grade level,” said Cheryl Vedoe, CEO, Apex Learning. “Keystone Tutorials are created specifically to prepare students at every level of academic readiness for the Assessment Anchors and Eligible Content covered on the Pennsylvania exams.”
