APG to Showcase mPOS Technology Aimed to Enhance Cybersecurity & Extend Tablet Life at RSPA’s RetailNOW Convention
Minneapolis, Minnesota (PRWEB) July 27, 2016 -- APG Cash Drawer, a rapid growing global manufacturer of cash management solutions, will display the 486 NetPRO® interface to enable the authentication and encryption of communication over LAN at the RSPA RetailNOW Convention from August 1st-3rd, in Grapevine, Texas. APG will also showcase the 854 USB interface to support the power management model of Windows 10 to conserve tablet battery life in mobile point-of-sale facilitated environments.
The authentication and encryption features of the 486 NetPRO® interface serve the communication between it and a client on the same subnet. The new interface prevents any external hacks and increases user’s internal security control. With the new interface, the cash drawer can only respond to the command that the client sends. The 486 NetPRO® interface is the first of its kind on the market that can guard the cash drawer from hacking and un-authorized operation.
The 486 NetPRO® interface is compatible in APG’s Series 4000 and Series 100 product lines, while the 854 USB interface is compatible with APG’s Series 4000, Series 100, Stratis, and Vasario product lines. Both the 486 and 854 interfaces will be available to order 10/1/16, while samples can be requested prior to the 10/1 release date.
