App Orchid Appoints Bankim Gopani to Board of Directors
Redwood City, Calif. (PRWEB) February 11, 2016 -- App Orchid, Inc., a developer of cognitive computing apps powered by artificial intelligence, has announced the appointment of Bankim Gopani to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Gopani brings 23 years of experience as a successful private equity professional, operating executive, and entrepreneur in the Information Technology, Business Services, Communications, Water, and Green Energy industries. His operational leadership roles include CEO, CFO, and Chief Corporate Development Officer.
As a Private Equity professional, Gopani has championed numerous investments in companies were he has served as an active board member, built management teams, guided portfolio companies for IPO preparations and strategic exit via M&A, and led fund-raising activities. His private equity career began at GE Equity where he earned the Winner’s Circle Award for being a top global performer with demonstrated results for 12 investments. He was then hand-picked by two Fortune 100 CEOs to lead Information Technology investments for Arlington Capital Partners where he originated and championed transactions. Later during the “dot-com crash” he was selected as one of two professionals (out of 60) to restructure the top 6 portfolio companies of an Internet incubator as a leading Board Member.

His firm provided cutting-edge technology solutions to many industry leaders. Gopani earned his MBA from Wharton as a Palmer Scholar, and BAS from Stern School (NYU) with Summa Cum Laude Honors. His experience prior to Business School was as a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs.
