AppEx Speeds Up Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) from the Cloud
San Jose, California (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- AppEx Networks, a leader in adaptive acceleration solutions, today announced that its LotServer product has demonstrated significant throughput improvement for application delivery controllers (ADCs) deployed in cloud infrastructures. Results are based on tests conducted over sample cloud networks such as Amazon from global locations with multiple ADC products such as Riverbed Stingray and Opensource HAProxy among others. Content delivered through virtual cloud based ADCs has shown 10% to 300% improvement compared with non-accelerated traffic. LotServer is deployed transparently at the cloud edge with the ADCs so there are no changes to the applications.
“The cloud is growing in importance and is being increasingly accepted into the corporate world each day. Performance is critical as applications move to the cloud,” said Young Wang, CEO of AppEx Networks. “We have the technology to make sure the performance impact is minimal or eliminated altogether. AppEx is partnering with cloud vendors to guarantee optimal performance under any network condition.”
Optimizing TCP over the Internet is challenging due to the unpredictability of the path and constantly changing global latencies. These problems get even worse as the network round trip times (RTTs) increase, files increase in size, and especially on lossy wireless connections. Based on its unique Learning Based Acceleration technology, LotServer adaptively manages each connection to attain the maximum possible throughput which results in a better user experience. As an asymmetric solution, nothing is required at the receiving end. Benchmark results can be requested by contacting sales and marketing at contact(at)appexnetworks(dot)com.
