Apple Chevrolet Gets in the Spirit With Toys for Tots
Tinley Park, IL (PRWEB) December 29, 2015 -- December is always a big time of year for all businesses, but to all of the employees at Apple Chevrolet, it’s also a big opportunity to give back to their community. The Tinley Park Chevrolet Dealer, in conjunction with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, hosted a toy drive, where all donations would benefit Toys for Tots. And in only a few short hours, the dealership collected over 2,000 toy donations.
"With the lack of snow this year, it almost didn’t feel like Christmas, but seeing how quickly our community responded to helping those in need really made it feel like the holiday season for me," said Apple Chevrolet Dealer Principal John Alfirevich.
"One of our donors even used our drive as a way to teach his children the true meaning of Christmas – he took his kids to Toys R Us and had them pick out their favorite toy, then drove them to our dealership so they could donate to those who needed it more than them," said Alfirevich.
Everyone at Apple Chevrolet didn’t expect the large amount of donations they have already received, and the staff even had to request more boxes. Alfirevich is already starting to look forward to the toy drive next year, and is excited about making this opportunity a Christmas tradition at Apple Chevrolet.
