Applied DNA Sciences Expands Cash in Transit Product into Poland-CBZ Integrates SigNature® DNA into New Cash Carrying Case
STONY BROOK, NY (PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- Applied DNA Sciences (OTCQB: APDN), (Twitter: @APDN), a provider of DNA-based anti-counterfeiting technology and product authentication solutions, today announced that, in conjunction with Centralne Biuro Zabezpieczeń (CBZ) of Poland, the company is about to introduce its award-winning SigNature® DNA forensic anti-theft product into Poland.
The expansion into Poland follows significant success in the battle against cash in transit attacks in the United Kingdom and other European countries.
CBZ, a leading manufacturer and supplier of security products across Poland have has developed a new cash carrying case containing inks that trigger in the event of an attack, covering the bank notes and perpetrators with an indelible ink containing SigNature DNA. Each cash case contains a different and unique DNA mark enabling law enforcement agencies to forensically link suspects and valuables back to the individual cash box and crime.
SigNature DNA has already helped law enforcement agencies convict 71 criminals for involvement in cash in transit and related crime who have received prison sentences of 345 years, with many more cases in the pipeline.
CBZ will officially launch the new cash case at the Securex International Fair in Poznań, Poland during April 8 – 11, 2014 and aims to sell at least 1,000 units in the first year.
CBZ has an impressive list of clients who include the largest cash in transit and security companies in Poland, the major banks, the army, police and Polish Post Office.
CBZ issued this statement:
“CBZ has been operating, producing and manufacturing security products for the CIT business since 1995 and have always been looking for solutions which will provide the greatest deterrent to attacks on personnel, cash and documents.
"Recently, we have been working with Applied DNA Sciences to bring the next generation of CIT security to the Polish market. SigNature DNA is the next generation which uses botanical DNA; complex in its coding but simple to add into the production process. Any business wanting to protect their personnel and assets should be using SigNature DNA, not only as the ultimate deterrent but also as concrete evidence in achieving criminal convictions should an attack occur.
We look forward to working with Applied DNA Sciences now and in the future and know our customers will benefit not only from having the ultimate CIT security deterrent now on the market but also from further future innovations.”
Tony Benson of APDN said, “CBZ is a highly innovative and well respected supplier of security products and solutions within Poland, supplying very prestigious clients. It has been a pleasure to work with CBZ in adding SigNature DNA to their new cash case and we look forward to continuing our relationship.”
