April is National Adaptive Sports Month
Exton, PA (PRWEB) March 31, 2015 -- National Adaptive Sports Month will increase awareness to the physical, social and psychological benefits of participating in adaptive sports activities, educate the public about the thousands of adaptive sports athletes that adapt, believe and compete each week in the United States, encourage support for inclusive fitness and inclusive athletics in our schools, provide information for individuals interested in participating in adaptive sports and advocate for an increase in the financial support of adaptive sports organizations nationwide.

Throughout April, ABC Medical will strive to raise awareness and support for adaptive sports through social media outlets, at the dozens of adaptive sports events to be held during the month of April, and through the outreach of the 100+ adaptive sports organizations it works with each year. Each day, ABC Medical will recognize one facet of adaptive sports on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, sharing stories and videos of these sports and its athletes. Through these actions ABC hopes to increase engagement, discussion and support for adaptive sports.
Mr. Jones continued, “April was the perfect month to launch this initiative of awareness with three major adaptive sports organizations holding their national championships in April: The United States Quad Rugby Association and the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, both in Louisville, KY, and the USA Sled Hockey National Championships in Buffalo, NY.
