APT Index: November Restaurant Sales Up 1.1%, Driven by Larger Checks
WASHINGTON, D.C. (PRWEB) December 11, 2015 -- Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) announced today that restaurant sales were up 1.1% in November of this year, compared to November 2014, according to the APT Index. Quick-service restaurant sales were up 2.9%, while full-service restaurant sales were up 0.7%.
Patrick O’Reilly, APT President & COO, said, “We’re seeing many restaurants raising prices to offset increasing wage rates. We suspect these price increases are contributing to larger check sizes, which drove sales growth in November.”
The APT Index aggregates in-store sales data at over 100,000 chain stores and restaurants across the U.S. to show how year-over-year sales performance changes.
