ApT™ Launches First Career Program Based on Brain Science, Establishes New Standard for Career Discovery
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) February 22, 2016 -- ApT™, the new standard for career discovery, today launched as a B2B platform to reveal which career paths best align with an individual’s natural abilities. ApT is built on more than four decades of research on the conative, or action-modes, part of the brain, revealing the best and worst careers for each user. Starting today, ApT will begin working with a limited number of strategic partners to deploy ApT as part of an enhanced offering of their own.
Fifty-five percent of Americans are dissatisfied with their jobs, and the average worker between age 18 and 44 changes careers 11 times. Meanwhile, traditional career assessments are based on individual preference and existing skillsets alone. ApT takes a fundamentally new approach to this process by understanding an individual’s interests and innate instincts, revealing the constellation of careers they are best suited to pursue.
ApT is based on exhaustive research spanning 12,000 careers ranging from fashion designers to firefighters, and data collected from over one million individuals and 30,000 performance evaluations. As a result, ApT is equipped to understand whether an individual has the instinctual strength and ability to learn the skills required to do virtually any job well.
“There are too many people in the workforce who are unhappy in careers they are ill-suited for. It is my personal mission to help these people find what makes them thrive,” said Kathy Kolbe, CEO of ApT and the global authority on human instincts. “I’ve personally seen people break into tears when they realize they’re working against their instincts. Our team is deploying this technology through strategic partners to reach more people, faster, and with information they need today.”
ApT is delivered to partners as a series of APIs, and the experience unpacks into several components. Individuals take a unique assessment called the Gut Check™ to identify their instinctive strengths, then choose four primary Interest Areas, which can be adjusted later in the process. Users discover Worst Careers based on their instinctual strengths with an explanation of why these careers would cause them stress. Next, ApT shares the 20 Best career options based on the user’s innate strengths and selected Interest Areas.
ApT broadens users’ career perspectives by sharing the Top 20 Careers outside of an individual’s selected Interest Areas. Finally, a full list of over 1,200 careers is ranked from Best to Worst based on the user’s natural abilities. This number represents more than double the sample size of most career programs, and also includes many emerging career options.
The ApT program will allow partners to better engage their respective population, increase customer loyalty, build new revenue streams, and better understand their customers. Additionally, ApT offers de-identified population trend data and search functionality.
Examples of potential insights and patterns to be gleaned by ApT’s partners include:
• Teens with the instincts to be highly innovative pick the same Interest Areas as highly innovative people over age 60.
• Corporate careers that require Follow Thru instincts do not interest 80 percent of the males with the right instincts to succeed in them.
• Young women with the right instincts to succeed in technology, who are also interested in technology careers, are not in educational programs in that field.
• Emerging careers are of greatest interest to people who are instinctively bored by traditional education and live in urban areas.
ApT is actively seeking strategic partners who are interested in making a difference in the quality of human experience and personal performance.
