ArcticFX Graphics Reveals Their First Artist Edition Sledwrap Designs
Washington, Michigan (PRWEB) September 18, 2014 -- What do creative art designs and power sports now have in common?ArcticFX Graphics invited well-known artist Sweyda to create four of his signature designs to be manifested as special editions of sledwraps for the 2014-2015 season.
“We ride snowmobiles ourselves here at ArcticFX,” said company founder Jordan Yankee. “We understand the connection between a rider and his sled. The graphics on your machine are a part of your relationship to the sport. Designing and manufacturing wrap kits for power sports enthusiasts for all seasons is what we do, but we started from our own passion for snowmobiling.”
ArcticFX Graphics has come a long way from the early days when Jordan Yankee experimented with his first sledwrap primarily because he wanted his own sled to have a distinctive look. Fairly early into the development of the business, a mutual friend put Yankee in touch with X Games Polaris Industries front man, Chris Burandt. The two entrepreneurs shared the burn for backcountry snowmobiling, and within weeks all of Burandt’s Back Country Adventure sleds featured the unique designs of ArcticFX Graphics. Also by this time, online sales of snowmobile sticker kits had taken off, and by the end of 2013, Yankee and his crew were creating designs for another great power sport: Moto.
This past summer was spent moving headquarters to a larger space and bringing on board new designers. Work was also being done to set up the new website for the sister company, MotoFX Graphics. Also during this expansion period, an illustrator, typographer and design artist in Florida caught the eye of Jordan Yankee. “I first noticed Sweyda’s work on Instagram,” said Yankee, “so I followed his postings for quite awhile. His artwork seemed to me to be a perfect fit for what we are doing in power sports, so I contacted him to see if he would be the first to create “artist edition” wrap designs for us. It was a great exchange, and we are excited to be able to offer wrap kits from ArcticFX that feature his vision for what we do.” Sweyda, aka Jared Mirabile, is an Orlando based creative artist/designer. He describes his work as “silky smooth lines and hard core edges”, and his images have a tattoo-like feel to them. Though his roots are in illustration, he has achieved acclaim for his custom lettering and also as a typographer, creating new one-off fonts.
“Right now is a great time for us here at Arctic FX. Sled riders are gearing up for the snow, and moto riders are ripping through the last days of the Fall riding season. We have had fun with our Win Our Wraps Wednesdays contest giveaways, and now we get to unveil our first-ever Artist Edition wrap kits. We are driven to keep creating bad-ass art for those dedicated to their outdoor power sports,” from ArcticFX Graphics founder Jordan Yankee.
