Area Entrepreneurs Invited to Engage With ‘The World's Most Influential Community of Entrepreneurs’
Connecticut (PRWEB) January 19, 2016 -- On Tuesday, February 9, the Connecticut Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) – a global, peer-to-peer network of more than 11,000 influential business leaders – welcomes leading entrepreneurs and world-class speakers to its “Key Executive Program” for an interactive day of education and inspiration. The program will be held from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Stamford Campus of the University of Connecticut, University Conference Center, located at One University Place.
The day-long event is an exclusive opportunity for local entrepreneurs to learn from a group of highly renowned presenters on best practices for greater business success and personal enrichment.
Guest speakers include:
• Peter Shankman: ADHD: It's Like Winning the Lottery – Shankman is credited with building Help a Reporter Out, (HARO) which changed the way news is gathered and publicity is obtained. He blames most of his success on his ADHD. Shankman will explain how he uses his ADHD to his advantage, what tricks and secrets he's learned over the past 30 years, including why airplanes are your best friend to get work done and why everyone should jump out of a plane at least once.
• Greg Moran: Content Based Hiring – Moran is a rising thinker in the field of human capital management. With more than a decade of human capital management, sales and leadership experience, Moran is President and CEO of Chequed.com and author of Building the Talent Edge: A Field Managers Guide to Recruiting the Best and Hire, Fire and The Walking Dead. An avid entrepreneur, Moran previously served as Founder and VP of Sales for PeopleAnswers America, a leading provider of behavioral assessment software to midmarket and large companies in North America, and founded and served as President of Pinnacle Technology Solutions, an executive search, staffing and human capital management services firm.
• Benjamin Richter: Servant Leadership and Developing Leaders at All Levels of Your Business – Richter believes how one looks at leadership and the role of leaders in business is critical in creating a meaningful company culture. He’ll introduce an overview of Servant Leadership and explore the nine tenets for adopting and implementing opportunities for making a cultural leadership paradigm shift in your company.
• Barrett Ersek: Discovering Your X-Factor – A serial entrepreneur who started his first company in the green industry at age 17, Ersek is a speaker on business innovation, gratitude and the green industry. Over the course of his entrepreneurial career, Ersek has sold two businesses in the green industry and is currently building his third company, Holganix. He’ll show attendees how to identify the bottleneck in their industries and create a 7-10x competitive advantage over competition.
• Kris Kaplan: Rockefeller Habits – A serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of business experience, Kaplan brings energy, passion, knowledge and determination to growth-oriented, midmarket companies. Kaplan grew Kris & Co., a leading manufacturer’s rep agency in the Northeast, from scratch to over $10 million before selling it. Now, as Founder of K2 Coaching, he’s making a lifelong dream come true by inspiring, coaching and helping others do the same.
• Rich Manders: Rockefeller Habits – Manders is a certified Gazelle International Coach. With more than 30 years of experience, Manders provides CEO coaching, training and advisory practice through his company FreeScale Coaching. Among his other previous companies, Rich co-founded iAutomation, leading the organization to becoming the industry leader with 140+ employees and nearly $80M in sales. A serial entrepreneur, Manders is dedicated to helping fellow entrepreneurs realize their vision through coaching and development.
