John Gerboth joined Arenstein & Andersen, Co., LPA as of counsel in June of 2013. He practices in the areas of personal bankruptcy, employment law, domestic relations, and compliance matters. John has handled numerous domestic matters including divorce, dissolution, and custody as well as serving as a court-appointed guardian ad litem.
He has represented both employers and employees in hearings before the Ohio Industrial Commission and the Ohio Unemployment Compensation Review Commission. Additionally, John has presented and written on such topics as the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act.
John’s family law practice includes:
- Representing clients in divorces, dissolutions, and annulments;
- Assisting clients with family law issues, including custody, child support, shared parenting, visitation, and alimony;
- Advising, drafting, and negotiating prenuptial agreements; continued support in post-decree matters involving custody, child support, shared parenting, visitation, and alimony;
- Prosecuting and defending actions relating to the enforcement of court orders in contempt proceedings. Additionally, John has an active and growing personal bankruptcy practice helping clients file for protection under Chapters 7 and 13 of the United States Bankruptcy Code.
John attended Wittenberg University and obtained an undergraduate degree in English. John received his law degree from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, magna cum Laude. John joined Arenstein & Andersen, Co., LPA as Of Counsel in June of 2013. He practices in the areas of personal bankruptcy, employment law, domestic relations, and compliance matters.
