Argo Marketing Group Obtains First Federal Government Contact with the United States Department of the Interior
Lewiston, ME (PRWEB) May 07, 2014 -- The United States Department of the Interior selected veteran owned, Argo Marketing Group, as their inbound call center for the Bird Banding Laboratory (BBL) located in Laurel, Maryland. Argo Marketing Group signed a four-year contact active July 2, 2014 through July 2, 2018 for the project.
The BBL is a clearinghouse for reports of the recovery of banded birds; the laboratory studies the movement, survival and behavior of birds in North America. The banding data collected is used to assist in evaluating hunting regulations, monitor problems in the bird population, restore endangered species and study the effects of environmental contaminants and address issues of human health.
Argo Marketing Group will be monitoring and controlling inbound calls for the center over the next four years. Each year approximately 90,000 banded birds are re-encountered and reported to the BBL. Majority of these inbound calls are from waterfowl hunters and occur from September through March.
“As a state that enjoys a unique relationship with the outdoors and wildlife, this contract is a perfect fit for our culture and heritage,” said Jason Levesque, CEO and founder of Argo Marketing Group. “Winning this contract not only reflects our commitment to Maine but gives us the opportunity to expand our portfolio,” said Levesque, “We are excited about the doors this contact can open for Argo and potential job opportunities and employee benefits that can result from government work.”
Argo Marketing Group is a veteran-owned small business. The United States Small Business Administration seeks veteran owned small businesses for preferential consideration for government contacts. Levesque served in the United States Army from 1993-2001. Due to his commitment and dedication as a veteran, Levesque now employs at least 15% veterans and offers a signing contact for any new veteran hire to Argo Marketing Group.
Argo Marketing Group will begin taking inbound calls for the BBL July 2, 2014. For more information on the BBL visit http://www.pwrc.usgs.gov/bbl/.
