Arizona Theater, UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle Helps Lead Nation in Gross Ticket Sales for “The Interview”
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) January 02, 2015 -- The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center and UltraStar Cinemas have announced that their west coast theater chain has led the nation in gross ticket sales for the nearly maligned Sony release of “The Interview.” Sony Pictures initially pulled the film from release in a wake of rumors and speculation brought on by terrorist threats, then days before the scheduled Christmas release date, gave a triumphant go-ahead. Sony then called upon theaters to screen the film while taking any needed safety precautions necessary.
A facility unlike any other, the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center screened the controversial film to the public for a full Christmas Day release. The decision by management propagated their desire to preserve free speech and artistic integrity while providing a safe environment for movie goers. The efforts of management at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center contributed to overall company box office sales which lead the nation over the opening holiday weekend.
