Arnold Magnetic Technologies Rebrands Thin Metals Division
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Arnold Magnetic Technologies announced today that it has rebranded its Rolled Products division. The division’s new name, Precision Thin Metals, or PTM, better reflects the strategic role PTM’s thin and ultra-thin specialty alloys play in high-efficiency motors, generators, batteries and emerging technologies that require lighter, smaller and more efficient system designs.
Arnold will officially unveil the rebrand at the CWIEME Coil Winding Expo in Berlin, Germany next week. At the show, PTM is highlighting its thin and ultra-thin silicon steels, which improve the power density of motors and transformers, as well as its ultra-thin nickel, aluminum and copper alloys, with applications in aerospace, industrial, energy storage and other industries.
The company also recently launched the new PTM website, http://www.arnoldmagnetics.com/PTM, in order to better serve engineers and program managers looking for solutions that enable their innovative products as well as support the efficient electrification of their systems with lighter and smaller designs.
“Arnold manufactures ultra-thin metals to precise thickness and finish in order to lighten system design while improving performance,” PTM General Manager Ted Baker said. “The new PTM name and website will present our customers with a clearer sense of our capabilities and how we can help them succeed.”
In March of this year, the PTM division earned accreditation from the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) for Heat Treating. This certification confirms that PTM’s metals and alloys adhere to the industry’s highest quality standards for aerospace and defense systems that must reliably endure extreme temperatures.
