Art Hive Online Announces Winners for “ART CONNEXIONS” Online Exhibition
Durham, NC (PRWEB) August 20, 2015 -- Oyin Charles, founder of Art Hive Online, announced winners have been selected for an online juried exhibition, “ART CONNEXIONS”. Artists submitted artwork electronically from July 16, 2015 through August 10, 2015. The overall objective was to select and establish a total of 5 clear winners made up of a 1st Prize Winner, 2nd Prize Winner and Honorable Mention Awards based on the following criteria:
• Interpretation and the clarity of the theme to the viewer
• Creativity and originality of the depicted theme
• Quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme
• Overall impression of the art
• Quality of written description in relation to art submitted
A panel of jurors consisting of Libby Rowe and Lien Truong selected the following winners:
1st Prize Winner: Brittany Huang
2nd Prize Winner: Alfonso Perez
Honorable Mentions:
Kelsey Ferguson
Steven Van
Sarah Ott
“We developed the ‘connectivity’ theme to highlight connections throughout society in a similar way that Art Hive Online seeks to connect art with the general community,” said Oyin Charles, founder of Art Hive Online. “The winners’ interpretations of the theme truly are amazing.”
