Art Imitates Life: Putting Real-Life Love on the Page
MONCTON, New Brunswick (PRWEB) September 07, 2016 -- R.S. Joyce loves his wife. When, a few years ago, he wrote her a love letter, it was so well received that he was suddenly motivated to take things a step further.
Joyce’s new romance novel, “Wanting Jessie, My Dream Girl,” is the result of his efforts. Inspired by his loving marriage, the book tells a tale of young love. Rusty and Jessie, the book’s protagonists, endure the trials and tribulations of the teenage years while building a relationship meant to stand the test of time.
“All relationships have their ups and downs, their challenges,” Joyce said. “But all things are possible with true love and persistence.”
Joyce was not only moved by his marriage while writing the novel; he also took inspiration from his native New Brunswick.
“Most people think of ‘romantic’ destinations, like sandy beaches and tropical locales, when they think of falling in love,” Joyce said. “But my wife and I have spent our life living on farms and working in auto body shops. Love can blossom anywhere.”
