Arts For Art will hold its Semi-Annual Evolving Series from January 4 to 24, 2016. The theme of the series is Not A Police State, Justice is Compassion
(PRWEB) December 01, 2015 -- Arts for Art presents Free Jazz within a socially relevant context. January's comprehensive program includes: dance improvisation, poetry, visual arts and a forum on "Art in Context."
The series will present musicians that are new, mid-career and artists of legendary status.

Patricia Nicholson Parker founded Arts for Art and the Vision Festival in the 1990s promoting and defining Free Jazz. She is an accomplished dancer, poet, producer and a social activist on a global capacity. In the 1980s, she choreographed and produced A Thousand Cranes Peace Opera with one thousand children for the opening of the UN Special Session on disarmament.
She has been awarded three times as producer of the year by Jazz Journalist Association (JJA) and won the CMA/ASCAP Award for adventurous programming. In 2015, Parker inaugurated a new quintet, Resurrection Revolution (R&R), that brings together dance, art and music.
