Ascent Fitness Creates New Cycling Training Series for BP MS 150
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) January 20, 2016 -- Ascent Fitness starts a MS 150 Training Series on the 26th of January that will use unique 3D Virtual Reality Software and technology to help participants train for the BP MS 150 in Houston this coming April. The new series of indoor cycling classes is designed for those that are limited in time but still want to participate in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s riding event.
"This is not your typical spinning class. This exciting technology allows each rider to have their own avatar, keeping them more engaged in the class. It acts as an incredible tool to make training more efficient while keeping the class fun and engaging," said owner, Karyn Snyder
The classes will help the rider gain strength and endurance, despite time limitations. The series includes workshops on safety, nutrition, bicycle maintenance, and other important topics for those participating in the BP MS 150.
Ascent is the first studio in Houston to offer Virtual Reality cycling classes, which has technology that not only links up each bike to an avatar on screen, but it also emails the individual their personal performance data after class. "This allows the rider to see results as time goes on and know if they are doing what they need to do to get to their goals, whether it be the BP MS 150 ride, weight loss, or any other personal goal," Snyder stated.
"This series will not only help keep riders continually engaged in training, but also will allow Ascent and its students to give more to this great cause. A portion of the proceeds from these classes will be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society," said Snyder
Many of the coaches and trainers at Ascent have actively participated in the BP MS 150 over the years and hope that they can still contribute a bit more by helping people to participate that may not have done so because of factors limiting their time for training.
