Asheville Academy for Girls Awarded Accreditation by CARF International
Asheville, NC (PRWEB) July 28, 2015 -- Asheville Academy for Girls, a residential treatment center for girls in a traditional school setting, is proud to announce its accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International. This accreditation demonstrates the highest level of care in a residential treatment setting. CARF International certification requires programs to undergo a rigorous evaluation process and meet internationally-recognized organizational and program standards.
According to CARF International, 98 percent of companies who get CARF accreditation see company-wide improvement in care and satisfaction of customers.
Asheville Academy for Girls provides its young girls ages 10-14, with top quality treatment and care. In order to obtain CARF International certification, a residential treatment program must meet specific standards of service. Asheville Academy’s standards include:
-An individualized plan for each student. Asheville Academy for Girls takes each student’s individualized needs into account for both academics and therapy.
-Family collaboration. Families continue to collaborate with professional staff during every step of the healing process.
-Developmentally appropriate programming. Asheville Academy focuses on the unique needs of girls ages 10 - 14.
-Healthy, nurturing culture. From staff to students to families back home we have a culture that promotes healing, healthy and safe environments.
-Growth, understanding, and accountability. Asheville Academy provides an encouraging, engaging, caring, and respectful experience that helps students grow and prosper.
“It is important to do more than just say you provide outstanding quality care and clinical work. You need to show it,” commented Cat Jennings, Executive Director and Owner of Asheville Academy, “We are known for providing outstanding care and this CARF accreditation reinforces that we have high standards.”
Each year, an accredited program must submit to CARF International a report detailing improvements made throughout the year. Asheville Academy for Girls seeks to constantly make improvements in their quality of care and treatment.
“Asheville Academy has received state licensing and now this CARF accreditation is another seal of approval,” stated Kathryn Huffman, Director of Admissions and Founding Partner, “I am proud of the hard work and dedication of our team. It speaks volumes for our desire to bring the highest standard of care to the work we do.”
