Ashworth College Announces New Veterinary Technician Degree Program
Norcross, GA (PRWEB) June 30, 2016 -- Ashworth College, a leading provider of accredited, online educational programs, recently launched its new online Veterinary Technician program. Graduates will receive their Associate of Applied Science degree along with the skills and experience required to pursue a career in the always in-demand field of animal care.
Ashworth’s new program builds on its existing veterinary assisting program and provides students with the latest information on laboratory procedures, surgical preparation, and imaging. Courses include lessons on terminology, anatomy, physiology, behavior, restraint, nutrition, and both large and small animal nursing procedures.
As part of Ashworth’s Veterinary Technician program, students will complete a 270 hours of clinical experience with a local veterinary practice. The ability to transfer the skills learned in our online courses in a real-world environment prepares students for post-graduation career opportunities in this growing and rewarding field.
