ASTOR+BANKS Debuts the (Central) Standard in Time
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Chicago, long known for deep dish pizza and the Chicago Cubs, may soon be known for producing premium watches, too. ASTOR+BANKS, a line of luxury wristwatches launching this spring, will offer a collection of premium quartz and customizable mechanical watches that are designed and built in Chicago.
ASTOR+BANKS wristwatches feature the finest materials, including 316L Stainless Steel, specifically chosen for its durability; the watches won’t oxidize or turn black. In addition, the brand uses Swiss chronograph quartz and mechanical movements and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Finally, shoppers will come to love the array of premium fabric and leather options for the band.
The company was co-founded by long time friends Andrew Perez and Farzad Moeinzadeh. Andrew is an avid wristwatch enthusiast, and proponent of American made products. Farzad has been a big supporter of Andrew’s ambitions since the beginning and brings 10+ years of business experience. The two launched the company to turn their passion and knowledge of wristwatches into a full-time profession.

In March, ASTOR+BANKS moved into a 1,000-square-foot space in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago where the watches are designed and assembled. The space also features a showroom where clients and independent retailers can meet with the ASTOR+BANKS team to review the collection and check out the workshop.
Chrono, the company’s signature quartz movement wristwatch, will retail from $550 to $595 depending on finish. Shoppers can purchase one of the ready made models or customize the watch strap with options like Horween Leather Chromexcel, Cordura straps in black, tan, or army green, or black Kevlar. ASTOR+BANKS’ mechanical models can be customized with your choice of case, dial, hands, crown and strap (alligator leather in black, brown, chestnut, and/or contrast stitching or Horween Leather Chromexcel in cognac or black). Each watch comes in a limited cigar style box featuring an ASTOR+BANKS certificate of authenticity.
ASTOR+BANKS watches come with a limited lifetime warranty.
ASTOR+BANKS will debut their online shop starting on April 15th, 2014. The collection will also be available in select specialty stores including Apartment Number 9 in Chicago, one of America’s best men’s stores.
