AT&T Invests to Update LULAC’s Relocated and Expanded Empower Hispanic America Technology Center in Philadelphia
Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 04, 2016 -- On August 5, the League of United Latin America Citizens (LULAC), with the support of AT&T, will unveil its newly upgraded and relocated Empower Hispanic America Technology Center at the LULAC National Education Service Center (LNESC) Philadelphia located in the city’s Fishtown section with state-of-the-art equipment. The technology center is one of 60 such facilities around the country.
The centers are part of an ongoing effort to ensure that the Latino community has access to dependable and useful technology. Upgrades to the new and expanded center include computer equipment, office applications software, and technology curriculum. Additionally, technology support will be made available to assist with the use of this new equipment.

Why: The LNESC Philadelphia technology center has been upgraded with state of the art equipment through funding from AT&T. Individuals who visit the center will now have access to technology in order to complete résumés and college applications. The technology will be used for GED preparation, financial aid research, online citizenship services and job-search programs and other services offered by the center. The center also provides individuals with the use of high-speed Internet access, computer equipment and basic office applications software to develop job skills, research career options, educational opportunities and other resources.
