Atchison County, Mo., Starts E-recording with Simplifile
ATCHISON COUNTY, Mo. (PRWEB) July 24, 2015 -- Atchison County is now accepting electronic documents for recording through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing document submitters with a faster, more cost-effective recording method online.
“E-recording should save our county postage as no documents need to be mailed back to customers,” said Atchison County Recorder Eliza Beasing. “It will also save our customers postage and time, and documents can be filed more quickly than before.”
With e-recording available, instead of having to drive to the county or send documents by mail, customers such as title companies, banks and attorneys can now submit documents securely to the recorder’s office in minutes.
Once the documents are received at the county through Simplifile, they are reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned back to the submitter electronically.
If an electronic document is rejected for any reason, customers are notified immediately through Simplifile, giving them the ability to quickly correct and resubmit the document back to the county.
“We’re happy to be working with Atchison County, and to provide customers with a much more convenient option for recording documents with the recorder’s office,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “There are so many time-saving and cost-saving benefits that come with e-recording for everyone involved in the process, and we’re excited to see Atchison County reap those benefits.”
According to Beasing, Atchison County is currently accepting all land documents for e-recording. Recording fees and payments can also be processed securely through Simplifile, helping to reduce payment errors.
Atchison County joins 62 other e-recording counties in Missouri and more than 1,260 e-recording counties nationwide.
