Aterlo Networks Announces EasySchedule and EasyPlay for NightShift to Enhance Streaming Video Experience

WATERLOO, Ontario (PRWEB) April 22, 2016 -- Aterlo Networks, a company that enables buffer-free high definition (HD) streaming video on any internet connection, announced two new features for their product NightShift (http://www.gonightshift.com). EasySchedule makes it easier to find and schedule TV shows and movies from anywhere. EasyPlay improves an existing feature that allows content to be played on any device or through the NightShift web application.

“NightShift already makes it possible for people living in rural and remote areas to stream HD video. EasySchedule and EasyPlay bring our subscribers closer to having the same experience that a higher-speed internet user has,” said Gerrit Nagelhout, CEO of Aterlo Networks. “These new features were developed with our subscribers in mind.”

As more streaming video services are added to NightShift, subscribers will be able to search and schedule movies and tv shows from all of their libraries in one convenient location.

“NightShift tends to act behind the scenes. For example, NightShift stays three episodes ahead in a series so the subscriber doesn’t need to worry about remembering to schedule it,” said Dan Siemon, VP of Product Management of Aterlo Networks. “Now, NightShift gives subscribers the ability to stay as far ahead as they want, and rest easy afterward knowing that NightShift will keep working for them in the background.”

NightShift pre-loads content during off-peak hours so that users with slower speeds can stream the content later without buffering. Some ISPs offer free or extra data at these off-peak times.

The content remains protected by Digital Rights Management, and an active subscription to the streaming video service is always required.

New Features:

  • Search for titles in a streaming video provider database on any device from anywhere
  • Select movies and individual episodes to download within the NightShift web app
  • Launch the streaming video player from within the NightShift web app, or play the titles on any supported player - (existing feature)
  • Pin titles so they are always ready-to-play
  • Manually delete titles that are no longer watched
