Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 12, 2015 -- Acoustic Technology, Inc. (ATI Systems), the world leader in Mass Notification Systems (MNS), supplied Massasoit Community College with an advanced Net-centric emergency notification solution that can send emergency notification messages over multiple communication and media channels. This multi-channel approach reinforces the message for better compliance and also reaches more people across this Southeastern Massachusetts campus.
The deployed system includes outdoor pubic address capability with one 1600 Watt High Powered Speaker Station (HPSS16) positioned for optimal intelligible voice messages. The HPSS16 is activated by a Control Station running ATI’s MassAlert® software, that constantly monitors the HPSS16 and displays its status graphically. The control station communicates with the HPSS16 via a Communication Control Unit (CCU) using wireless radio frequency communication.
Using ATI’s advanced MassAlert® software, the College has the ability to broadcast any emergency message or general announcement simultaneously over the outdoor siren for audio alerting while also sending electronic alerts throughout the local network and Internet. The electronic notification includes pop-ups to computers on the college network, displaying the messages on the College’s existing Carousel displays signage, and sending individual messages via SMS and email as well as updating, Twitter and Facebook feeds using the existing Rave Mobile system.
The new system allows the user to simplify the response to any emergency situation with simple point-and-click activation from the MassAlert® software. In addition, the user has the option to initiate notification messages from MassAlert® or from the Rave console, using any web browser.
