Atlas Van Lines Welcomes Two Moving Agents To Its Network; Five Agents Expand Footprint Into New Markets
Evansville, Ind. (PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- Despite being one of the nation’s leading movers, Atlas Van Lines has an eye toward the future with an aggressive strategy that continues to increase market share and strengthen its agency network across the United States and Canada. With the addition of two new agencies and five current agencies expanding their footprints, Atlas is enhancing its reach through its agency partners and top-tier moving services.
Building onto the momentum of moving agents such as Carolina’s largest mover Smith Dray Line joining Atlas in March and the addition of Maryland-based agent Moyer & Sons Moving and Storage Inc., in February 2012, Atlas now welcomes Modesto Transfer and Storage and Slater Transfer & Storage to its network. Based in Modesto, Calif., Modesto Transfer and Storage services California’s Central Valley area and adds another quality agent to Atlas’ San Francisco-Oakland regional coverage. Slater Transfer and Storage, based in St. George, Utah, operates two branches in the Utah and Nevada regions, which increases coverage to the Las Vegas area and also allows Atlas to enter into Southwest Utah.
Atlas’ footprint enters new markets as well through expanding agencies and their new branch openings. Expanding agents and their new markets include:
• Guardian Relocation Systems – Memphis, Tenn., and the Mid-South region;
• Atlantic Relocation Systems – the Seattle and Tacoma, Wash., markets, and Colorado Springs, Colo.;
• Nelson Westerberg of VA – Petersburg, Va.;
• Daniel’s Moving & Storage, Inc. – Long Beach, Calif., and Omaha, Neb.; and
• Corporate Moving Specialists, LLC – Gray, Tenn.
“It’s an exciting time for Atlas, as we celebrate two new additions and several new locations on our roster,” said Steve Hermann, vice president of agency development at Atlas Van Lines. “Our ability to build new business and relationships in regions such as the Mid-South, the Carolinas and others, gives us great momentum to generate a variety of business opportunities as we work through another busy moving season. As part of the Atlas family, we hope to help each of these agents grow awareness of their trusted names locally and throughout the industry.”
In addition to continuing to strengthen its agency network and through its most recent agency acquisitions, Atlas has also added 25 owner operators to its Atlas agency fleet. In a time when driver recruiting is increasingly more challenging, the addition of drivers provides a significant advantage to the van line and its agents, who facilitate approximately 80,000 moves worldwide each year.
