Atrion Academy to Create Rhode Island Jobs
Warwick, R.I. (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- In addition to 25 new employees added since July 1, 2013, Atrion Networking Corporation has announced the company now has 22 open positions and will be adding an additional 30 employees over the next six months. As a result, CEO and President, Tim Hebert revealed that Atrion will formally launch its workforce development program, Atrion Academy, to accommodate the continued growth in the job space. Atrion developed the Atrion Academy as an in-house solution to confront the skills gap in technology and self-develop the company’s workforce. The formalized training program and new hiring opportunities signal incredible expansion at Atrion, and the company's enduring commitment to provide the Ultimate Experience for its customers—and employees.
The Atrion Academy has several distinct tracks to serve multiple levels of skill and professionalism within the IT industry. For example, the Support Technician program targets training for new roles in Atrion’s Managed Services team. Additionally, the Associate Engineer Accelerated program fast tracks current employees who have one to three years’ experience. The first and longest running program under the umbrella of the Atrion Academy is the nationally recognized Internetworking Associate Apprentice Program, which will add an impressive team of entry level engineers to the organization. By teaching staff the Atrion way, and rapidly up-skilling technical abilities, employees harness new skill sets and can obtain industry-recognized certifications. For candidates who possess the right attitude, aptitude and skills, the Atrion Academy can quickly transform new employees into experts in their fields.
“We’ve successfully run our workforce development program for the past few years with amazing outcomes,” said Hebert. “Formalizing the Atrion Academy is just the beginning. Over the next year, Atrion will also fill critical senior technical roles; as well as client engagement, sales, and essential back office positions,” he said. The Atrion Academy innovates new ways to target, attract, select, and develop a whole new segment of incredible people who are looking to super-charge their nascent IT careers. These programs within the Atrion Academy not only meet the challenge of bridging the IT talent chasm, but also give Atrion the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
