Atrion’s John Miner Named Microsoft SQL Server MVP
Warwick, RI (PRWEB) October 08, 2014 -- John Miner, currently a Senior Consultant at Atrion providing Database and Business Intelligence solutions to local companies, has been awarded by Microsoft the prestigious designation of Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for SQL Server. This award marks the third Microsoft MVP on staff for Atrion. The nomination-based award is given to exceptional technical leaders which actively share their passion, expertise, and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products.
MVPs offer their expertise in ways that greatly help people make the most of their Microsoft software, services, and tools. In addition, the MVP community is known for representing the next generation of technologists.
John has twenty years of data processing experience, and his architecture expertise encompasses all phases of the software project life cycle, including design, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems. He has also earned certificates from Microsoft for Database Administration (MCDBA) and System Administration (MCSA).
This is no small feat: Of the more than 100 million social and technical community members worldwide, each year only about 3,800 are recognized as MVPs. “I am very honored to be recognized by the SQL Server community for my contributions this year” Miner said.
John speaks at SQL PASS chapters in New England, helping IT professionals with difficult questions on Stack Overflow and blogging about SQL related topics. He is currently organizing the free SQL Server Saturday #314 event taking place at the New England Technical Institute on October 18th.
