Attorney Brad Denton of Denton Peterson PC in Mesa, Arizona has been Admitted to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals
MESA, Ariz. (PRWEB) October 17, 2017 -- Business attorney Brad Denton, a partner of Denton Peterson PC in Mesa, Arizona, has been admitted to practice in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, the firm announced today. Denton will now be able to argue appeals cases in the regional court.

Denton has been a practicing attorney for more than 20 years. He spends much of his time helping businesses protect their legal interests, such as deciding the right business structure, handling employee complaints, and defending against lawsuits from clients or other businesses. He helps with both litigation and commercial matters.
“By being able to practice in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, I will be able to represent clients who were unsatisfied with a lower court ruling and want to pursue additional legal action,” Denton said. “The lower courts don’t always get it right, and I can now help clients appeal some of those decisions with the goal of getting the desired outcome.”

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals includes the states of Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Oregon. It also includes the central, eastern, northern, and southern districts of California and the eastern and western districts of Washington. Finally, it includes the U.S. territories of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.
Appeals from all of these places are heard in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals was established in 1891 with the courts of appeals for the other nine judicial circuits. Additional judgeships were authorized for the 9th Circuit in 1891 and 1895, and then again in later years. The last judgeship was authorized for the 9th Circuit in 2009.
Not all of the current states and territories in the 9th Circuit were a part of it at its creation. Hawaii was not added until 1900, and at the time, it was a territory. Alaska was also added that year, when it was also a territory. Arizona was added to the 9th Circuit in 1912.
There are four meeting places for the 9th Circuit: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle. When the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals was established, the only meeting place was San Francisco. The other three meeting places were established in 1948.
Many distinguished judges have served on the 9th Circuit. There are currently more than 40 judges serving on the circuit.
