Attorney Grace Ha Receives First AtlAS Fellowship With Atlanta Center for International Arbitration and Mediation
(PRWEB) June 29, 2015 -- Grace Ha is the first recipient of the AtlAS Fellowship with the Atlanta Center for International Arbitration and Mediation, a partner with Georgia State University College of Law.
Ha holds a B.S. degree from Duke University and a J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law. She is fluent in Korean and practiced law in Seoul, Korea, specializing in international commercial arbitration, for several years.
The Atlanta center is a new project at Georgia State and will host international arbitrations and mediations in a facility within Georgia State Law’s new $82.5 million building in downtown Atlanta.
Ha will assist in developing operating protocols and programs to support the center with the opening and operating of the arbitration facility. The center will open in late September.
“We are pleased to establish the AtlAS Fellowship and doubly pleased to get it off on the right foot with an accomplished lawyer like Grace Ha,” said Magaly Cobian, managing director.
The AtlAS Fellowship is named in honor of the Atlanta Arbitration Society, one of the center’s founding sponsors and stakeholders. AtlAS was established in 2011 by a group of Atlanta lawyers determined to see Atlanta realize its potential as a thought leader in international dispute resolution and as a premier location for international arbitration and mediation.
“The AtlAS Fellowship at ACIAM is a major step toward our vision of making Atlanta a world leader in commercial dispute resolution,” said Ben Greer, AtlAS president and a retired Alston & Bird partner. “With our airport, our cost structure and our favorable legal environment, and now with Grace Ha joining our team, we have a promising future.”
