Augusoft Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- Today Augusoft® Inc, the creator of the first continuing education SaaS enrollment management solution, Lumens, announced the twentieth anniversary of the company’s founding.
Augusoft, originally called August Enterprises, was founded October 3rd in 1994 by Cem Erdem a Turkish American immigrant. The boot strapped start-up was the first company to create a continuing education software which embedded an online shopping cart feature so students could purchase in-person classes anytime, anywhere through the Internet. That software called Lumens also was the first educational enrollment and class management software to have all of its features/functionality stored on the Internet cloud. Today, Lumens a SaaS based product processes close to $1 billion in transactions and is used by nearly 4 million learners.
Throughout the years, Augusoft has made significant strides to improve the delivery of lifelong learning to everyone not only in delivering one major upgrade per year - unprecedented in the industry - but also in building a software based on industry best-practices. In celebration of its two decades of business, Augusoft has unveiled a list of twenty industry firsts that have been provided to the continuing education industry and lifelong learning community.
