August Wine Group Is Named Exclusive Importer for Argentina’s Historic Bodega Navarro Correas

In recent years, the Mendoza-based Navarro Correas brand reached volumes exceeding 80,000 cases in the United States.
August Wine Group is importing the recently revamped Navarro Correas brand with its vibrant, new packaging, thanks to a recent redesign by Grupo Peñaflor. The wines are available nationally.

The Navarro Correas estate traces its origins back to 1798 when Don Juan de Dios Correas planted some of the first vines in Mendoza at the foot of the Andes. From those early days until the mid-1900s, the Correas family made wine for their own pleasure and sold their extra grapes to neighbors. In 1974 Don Edmundo Navarro Correas, a direct descendant of the founder, set out to make the finest wine possible and one of the great stories of South American viticulture was born.
Today Navarro Correas’ specialized growing sites, with a remarkable range of soil types, altitudes, ripening patterns and vine age, yield terrifically expressive wines, including: Colección Privada, an emblematic Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Blend and Chardonnay that represent the art of viticulture; Alegoría, a Malbec with the highest varietal typicity, complexity and quality; Selección Del Enólogo, a single vineyard Malbec; Structura Ultra, the winery’s highest quality red blend; and Espumantes, a range of elegant sparkling wines.
