Austen Williams, Mrs. Texas and Alumna from Actors, Models and Talent for Christ (AMTC) Wins The Mrs. America 2013 Title in Pageant Finale Last Night, August 28th
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- Austen attended SHINE, and booked a TV Commercial in NYC that year which ultimately paid her way through college. She has been modeling, acting, singing and dancing for nearly 25 years, and had done more than 40 regional and national jobs by the time she graduated from high school. To date, Austen has performed in dozens of films, TV shows, theatrical productions, and fitness videos, as well as countless modeling jobs, including work for clients like Abercrombie and Fitch, K-Swiss, Hanes, L’eggs, Sony, Prevention Magazine, MTV, The Firm, Vibe Magazine, and Best Body Magazine, just to name a few.
Most recently, Austen just finished a role as a reporter on the post-production film 8 Days - a film about modern day slavery inspired by actual events.
In addition to her work as an entertainer, she has been a personal development instructor, a stylist, an acting and modeling coach, a manager of a multi-million dollar fitness facility, a business owner and an inspirational speaker to nearly 14,000 students.
After a fruitful career in the entertainment industry, Austen relocated to Dallas to work with Eagle University, a leadership program for teenagers and young adults, where she served as the event coordinator, a mentor and presenter. Beyond her work with Eagle U, she later served as director and youth minister for R.I.P. the Runway Young Women’s Ministry, a division of the Next Level Youth Ministry at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship. While serving at the church, she felt lead to continue her education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she is currently matriculating.
In addition to her studies, she also owns a photography business, Sugarbabe Photography, a full service baby, children and family lifestyle portraiture company. When she is not working in photography, she still dabbles in the entertainment industry, co-hosting a teen talk show called, InSight.
