Austin Trail Running Company Is Up and “Running”
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) December 17, 2014 -- The Austin Trail Running Company, (http://www.austintrailrunning.com) a trail running specific retailer, has launched today and is actively working to open its first retail outlet in Austin by February which will be located at 13219 North Highway 183, Suite 200, 78750.
With a rapidly growing and active trail community both in Austin and nationwide, there’s been a need for a trail-specific retailer with support staff that can help assist people on choosing the correct gear. Pam Harght, an ultra-runner, entrepreneur and running coach decided in 2013 to pursue her passion of opening a trail running-focused retail store. “I’ve been running and racing on trails since 2007 and have seen tremendous growth in the sport over the last few years. It’s a fantastic community that demands it’s own space and has needs that are currently not being met. The Texas trail community is one of the largest in the country and has been incredibly supportive in the launch of this business.” says Pam Harght, the companies co-founder.
The store will specialize in higher-end gear that is built to last on the rugged trails in Hill Country and West Texas, but with hybrid options as well for the flatter, softer travels in East Texas. All of the gear will be tested to make sure that it can stand up to the demands of long distance and multi-day running and hot Texas summers. For those that travel to the mountains, they’ll have gear to accommodate emergency weather conditions like rain and snow. The Austin Trail Running Company is the place for trail runners staffed with obsessive gear experts who will help you find exactly the right fit, fabric and weight to get you through your next biggest challenge.
You will see the Austin Trail Running Company “out on the trail” quite frequently. The company’s employees and ambassadors have been traveling across the state of Texas to do “wear test” days with several different shoes. The team will also be at all future TejasTrails races running the packet pick-up and the start/finish aid stations and a small expo on the race site.
The Austin Trail Running Company is not just about selling gear for runners; its goal is to get people out on the trail who may not have ever considered trail running or for those who have struggled with staying motivated with running. It’s about getting people off the couch and out into nature. So, is it time to hit the trail yet?
