An occasional contributor to the editorial pages of newspapers and a prolific writer in his own blog, he turned to writing with a desire to inform and entertain readers. During his years teaching early American History, he learned from his students as much as they learned from him. His desire to lifelong learning keeps the author reading and writing much of the time.
