Author Highlights Entrepreneurs Who Obtained Success While Still Being Faithful to Their Beliefs
New book shares stories of Christians who launched major businesses, like Hershey's, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Kraft
ANDREWS, Texas, May 1, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Saul Flores Jr. has researched and compiled 12 stories of well-known and very successful entrepreneurs from American history whose, he says, faith helped them flourish.
In "Favor in Business," Flores presents decades of research on Christian entrepreneurs, from the eighteenth century through the twentieth century. He shares stories from soap industrialist William Colgate, business magnate John D. Rockefeller, Coca-Cola founder Asa Griggs Chandler, Anthony T. Rossi of Tropicana Products, Chik-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy and more.
"While in college, I became increasingly intrigued with Christian entrepreneur's amazing success stories and how faith helped them succeed," said Flores. "I decided to write a book to share these unsung stories."
When he was a young business major in college, a woman in Flores' congregation told him that she felt business majors only had one goal, and that was "to make money." She added that it was a selfish goal and that pursuing money would be unfulfilling. Flores disagreed with her, as he felt that, when a person succeeds in the marketplace, it allows them the opportunity to help people around them. That is where the idea for this book was born. Flores is now a successful entrepreneur, and decided it was time to share his research with others.
