Author Ifesinachi Nelson Ezeh releases 'Sister Kingdom'
PUSHKIN CITY, Russia (PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- Inspired by the works of distinguished African literary genius Chinua Achebe, author Ifesinachi Nelson Ezeh debuts into the world of fantasy fiction with "SISTER KINGDOM" (published by Xlibris UK). One of the firsts in the genre, the thriller remarkably explores an emblematic dual world that reflects the many deficiencies and truths of the real world.
When her world is faced with the dreaded spirit in the dark, Agadi’s father disappears mysteriously and her mother gives her life to the god Ikenga to receive justice, Agadi Nwanyi is left to honor the memory of her parents with her younger brother Ikwuato. Both are born with powers of their own but this is not enough to protect them from the dread they faced. Agadi saw visions of the future and what they must do. When the evil is let loose, she is forced to look for a way. Meanwhile, Ikwuato had never believed in his sister. But when she wakes up from a trance with Ikenga, his eyes open to reality. He eventually accepts the crown amulets, the eyes of Ikenga, to be true. The consecration of their powers within it rekindles the undoing of the gods long forgotten.
"Sister Kingdom scores on the differences we have as a family and as a society," says Ezeh. "Despite our differences, we have failed to understand that we can work together as one."
Evocative, fast-paced and highly-compelling, "SISTER KINGDOM" is an attempt to take a jibe at bringing to the fantasy world something that is African, presented through a European mind. It looks deep into the core of humanity to exalt the uniqueness and the similarities that must be celebrated if mankind is to succeed as a specie. Harmony, Ezeh believes, can only be achieved if humanity can 'sustain peace through mutual respect of its differences.'
