Author JAKemp Pursues U.S. Review for Prophetic Screenplay
BELLINGHAM, Wash. (PRWEB) July 16, 2015 -- Author JAKemp’s “ASHES: Nuclear Terrorists Attack Hollywood” (published by Trafford Publishing) has been submitted to the U.S. Review of Books for a comprehensive professional evaluation.
This prophetic screenplay, written in 1979, follows an ex-U.S. Air Force officer-turned-peace activist, Jake Horner, who builds a scale-demonstration nuclear weapon to warn the public how easy it is to do. Unfortunately, a Middle Eastern terrorist steals and arms the nuclear weapon. He races to Southern California to set it off in heavily populated Los Angeles, leaving Hollywood’s future at risk.
“Today’s biggest threat, as determined by the U.S. Congress, is terrorists,” JAKemp says. “This book was written in 1979 and adequately describes our current level of threat from terrorists.”
JAKemp was a nuclear officer in the U.S. Air Force and hopes to warn readers about the threat of nuclear terror. JAKemp says “ASHES” was rejected by both the Screen Actors Guild and the film industry in 1979 as being “unreal.” He hopes the real threat of terrorists in the world today will be taken more seriously. It was only after the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center that JAKemp dusted off the original manuscript and pursued its publishing.
